If you have a bank account and need to cash a check on a Saturday, many of the larger banks like Bank of America and Wells Fargo offer mobile banking smartphone apps that allow you to scan a signed copy of the check into the app for deposit directly into your bank account. If you are not a customer at a given bank, you can still cash a check there if it was issued by that bank or credit union. The bank or credit union will be able to verify the account it came from because it has access to the account and can determine that the money is indeed available.
