Walmart Ink Cartridge Return Policy

We contacted Walmart stores in Georgia, Kansas, and Arizona to find out more about the company’s policy for returning ink cartridges. We were told that ink cartridges fall under Walmart’s standard return policy. Whether you purchased the ink in-store or online, you can return it to Walmart stores within 90 days of purchase as long as it is in the original packaging and you have the receipt.^[1] You’ll be refunded to your original form of payment.

If you don’t have a receipt and/or you’ve opened the package, the return may be subject to the store manager’s approval. However, most of the locations we contacted said they would willing to exchange an opened ink cartridge for another type. If the ink was less than $25, you may also be able to get a cash refund without the receipt.^[1] If the ink was more than $25, you may be able to get a refund in the form of a Walmart gift card.

Mail-In Ink Return

If you purchased the ink online or if you simply prefer to mail in your return, you can do so by looking up your order online, printing the return label, and returning the ink in its original packaging within 90 days^[2] Mail-in returns can take two to three weeks to process, then you will receive your refund.
