You can request a price adjustment on items purchased online that go on sale within eight days of purchase. Most Sam’s Club store locations also offer price adjustments, but terms may vary from location to location. For the details of Sam’s Club’s price adjustment policy, see below.

Sam’s Club Price Adjustment Policy

Sam’s Club does price adjustments on most items bought online that go on sale within eight days of purchase.[1] This does not include items that go on sale as part of a special event, such as Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Sam’s Club’s website will also match prices at Walmart, but not with competing stores. Most Sam’s Club locations do price adjustments as well, but terms vary by store, so it’s best to contact your local Sam’s Club to verify its policy.  To confirm this information, we spoke to corporate customer service representatives, as well as store associates in Arkansas, Illinois, and Texas.

You can get a price adjustment online by contacting customer service.[2] You may even be able to get a price adjustment in-store for a purchase made online, but this is at the discretion of the store manager.[3] To get a price adjustment in-store, you’ll need to bring your receipt. Some stores require you to bring in the item purchased as well.

Sam’s Club also has a generous return policy.[4] Instead of asking for a price adjustment, you may be able to return the item and repurchase it for less. Some store associates we spoke to suggested this as an alternative to price adjustments. (For more on returns at Sam’s Club, see our research on Sam’s Club’s jewelry return policy.)
