Short Answer

The minimum credit score for Polaris financing is usually around 700, but Polaris considers several factors for approval, including credit reports and income. For more information on the Polaris credit score minimum and other financing requirements, see below.

Minimum Credit Score for Polaris Financing

Polaris offers several financing options for its all-terrain vehicles, including the Polaris Visa Card and four loan choices. We contacted corporate and retail customer service representatives for more information about financing requirements; we were told that regardless of which financing option you choose, the minimum credit score for approval is typically about 700. (Lenders and credit bureaus commonly consider this the threshold for “good” credit.) However, some customers report approval with credit scores in the high 600s. Below, we detail the different types of financing available at Polaris, plus interest rates and requirements for each.

Polaris Visa Card

The Polaris Visa Card, backed by U.S. Bank, allows customers the option to apply for the credit card online. Polaris requires you to provide your personal, housing, and income information to apply. The interest rate will range from about 16% to 25% based on your credit report, and there is no annual fee. Representatives were unable to share information about the card’s usual credit limits, but also noted that your limit at approval will vary based on your creditworthiness.

The Polaris Visa Card is valid at any merchant that accepts Visa. All purchases earn points; 2500 points converts to $25 in Polaris Cash, which you can spend at participating Polaris dealerships.

Polaris Loan Options

In addition to the Polaris Visa Card, Polaris offers loans through four lenders: Sheffield Financial, Synchrony Financial, Performance Finance, and TD Auto Finance. All four loan options offer fixed terms and interest rates, with Performance Finance offering extended term options. The price of the vehicle and whether or not you make a down payment will determine the length of the loan, customer service representatives said.

Note that Performance Finance is not available for snowmobiles; the other loan options are available for all vehicles. Your local Polaris dealer may participate in all of these financing options, or it may have just one or two available.

The application and approval process will take place at the point-of-sale. Polaris will approve or decline your application for financing in-store once you submit your information. To apply for financing, you will need to note the dealer and vehicle as well as whether you are an individual or a joint applicant.

Polaris Loan Requirements

Each applicant must provide the following information when applying for a loan at Polaris:

  • Social Security number
  • Name
  • Current address
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Resident status
  • Rent or house payment amount
  • Number of years at your home
  • Work phone number
  • Employer name and city
  • Number of years employed
  • Monthly gross salary
  • Your nearest relative’s name, city and state of residence, and phone number

Loan Interest Rates

Customers with at least a “good” credit score have the best chance for approval with a lower interest rate for loans — usually in the 15% range. However, customers with scores around 670 occasionally report being able to secure a loan at a higher interest rate of around 28% or more.
