Overstock accepts rug returns within 30 days of delivery. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund in most cases — though Overstock will offer a full refund if the rug arrived damaged or you were sent the wrong item. Overstock Return Policy: Rugs

Overstock allows rug returns within 30 days of delivery. Rugs fall under Overstock’s standard return policy, a corporate customer service representative said. You’ll need to request a return through your online account within 30 days of delivery, and the item must arrive at an Overstock warehouse no more than 45 days after the original delivery date in order to receive a refund. Rugs must be in new or like-new condition at the time of return. Unless the item arrived damaged, Overstock will not authorize a refund for rugs with stains, fading, or other signs of use.

Since Overstock is an online-only retailer, all returns are processed by mail. Overstock will provide a return shipping label with your order, but the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund — unless the item arrived damaged or you were sent the wrong item. Return shipping costs vary by the item’s size and weight and the shipping distance; you’ll learn the cost of return shipping when you initiate your return online.

A customer service representative explained that rugs can be returned in the original packaging or like packaging. For example, if the rug arrived wrapped in plastic and you tear the plastic to open the rug, you can wrap the rug in new plastic wrap in order to return it.

Keep in mind, if you checked out as a guest when you made your purchase, you’ll need to create an Overstock online account using the email address you used to place the order. For assistance with your return, you can contact Overstock by phone, text, live chat, or email. If your 30-day return window has passed, you may be able to return the item for a partial refund.

Note: While Overstock representatives could not provide a price range for return shipping costs for rugs, USPS and uShip estimate it costs $100 to $200 to ship a large area rug. Depending on the value of the rug itself, you may want to keep it or sell it locally instead of paying for return shipping.
