OfficeMax/Office Depot Student Discount Policy (+ Other Ways to Save)

While some Office Depot and OfficeMax locations may have partnerships with local schools, student discounts are not common, and there is no corporate-level discount. To get this information, we spoke to corporate customer service representatives, who said Office Depot does not offer a student discount. We also spoke to store associates in California, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia, and only one store offered a discount for local students.

While the vast majority of Office Depot stores don’t offer a student discount, there are other ways to save at the store. These include:

• Rewards program: Members earn 2% of what they spend back in rewards, which can be used to purchase any items in the store except gift or prepaid cards. Members also get other perks such as members-only savings.
• Deals: This section of the Office Depot website is updated daily with the latest promotions.
• Email and text alerts: Office Depot sends exclusive offers through email and text. You also get 20% off one regular-priced item when you sign up.
