Short Answer

JustFly offers a “risk-free rebooking” policy for about $20 per passenger. This policy promises that you will not incur additional cancellation fees if you need to cancel or change your reservation within 24 hours of booking it. Without this policy, you may pay up to $200 in cancellation fees per ticket. For more information on the JustFly cancellation and refund policy, see below.

JustFly Cancellation and Refund Policy

JustFly does not typically allow you to cancel, change, or refund your booking since many of its flights are non-refundable fares from airlines. However, the company may extend a refund (minus cancellation fees) or a JustFly travel credit on a case-by-case basis, corporate customer service representatives said.

Every customer has the option to purchase JustFly’s extended cancellation policy — known as the “risk-free rebooking” policy — for about $20 upon booking. Risk-free rebooking allows you to cancel or change your flight without additional fees as long as you make the changes within 24 hours of booking.

Keep in mind that because JustFly is not an airline, it can avoid regulations set by the Department of Transportation regarding cancellations and refunds. Representatives for JustFly were unable to provide specific information as to the time it takes to process cancellations and changes. However, if you do receive a refund, it can take up to seven days to process.

JustFly Cancellation Fees

Without risk-free rebooking, JustFly charges a $75 cancellation fee for cancellations within 24 hours of booking. After 24 hours (when the risk-free rebooking period has ended) JustFly will assess the following fees for cancellations, per passenger:

  • $75 domestic
  • $125 transborder (U.S. and Canada)
  • $200 international

The JustFly booking policy stresses that name changes are not permitted once you book your ticket. If you discover that a name needs spelling correction, you will have to cancel the booking and pay the cancellation fees, then book a new reservation. Therefore, a name change for any reason costs the same as a cancellation. Our previous research has more information about changing the name on an airline ticket.
