After calling several of the top U.S. hotel chains, we found that, in general, hotels do not want guests to have parties in their rooms. Parties can lead to unwanted consequences for the hotel, including noise complaints from other guests and damage to the room and/or hotel property.

You may be allowed to have a limited number of guests in your hotel room, but you’ll have to abide by the hotel’s noise policy. Most hotels also have overnight guest limits per room. Keep in mind that if you ignore hotel policies and host a party in your room anyway, the hotel staff can ask you to leave and may even call law enforcement.

If your party guests do not need overnight accommodation, many hotels offer hospitality suites that can be booked for events such as meetings, receptions, and small social gatherings. These types of spaces often include an adjoining room, and while hotel policies about noise and parties still apply, the hotel staff both allow and expect groups to gather in this space.

Hotels in Las Vegas That Allow Parties

Though the majority of the hotels we contacted said they don’t allow parties, hotels in Las Vegas appear to be more lenient. The following Las Vegas hotels allow parties in rooms:

Flamingo Las Vegas

Party rules: Too many noise complains can lead to your party being shut down and/or you being asked to leave, but Flamingo Las Vegas will allow parties in rooms. Note that in accordance with fire safety codes, only four people can stay overnight per room.

Plaza Hotel & Casino

Party rules: The Plaza Hotel & Casino allows parties within reason. Parties should finish or move elsewhere by 10 to 11 p.m. to avoid noise complaints from other guests. Noise complaints can lead you to be kicked out. All guests should be 21 or older, especially if alcohol is present.

Customers also report success hosting parties at the ARIA Resort and Casino, MGM Grand, Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace, and Palms Casino Resort. It may be worth contacting the hotel at which you intend to stay to find out its policy on parties and/or make arrangements in advance. If any of your guests plan to stay the night, you should include their names on the reservation. If you do not, or if your room is already at capacity, you may need to book another room. Overnight guest restrictions are often related to fire safety standards.
Unauthorized guests are typically not allowed pool access.
If anything in the room or at the hotel is damaged, there will likely be a fee. Comfort Inn said there is a $250 charge for damages. Other hotel chains said fees vary depending on the severity of the damage.
