Short Answer

The Home Depot offers an 11% rebate on in-store purchases at select locations and on specific dates throughout the year. The current promotion is valid for purchases made from November 1 through November 25, 2020.[1] The company does not announce the dates of the sale ahead of time, but the timing typically coincides with a similar rebate offer at Menards. Current dates are listed in the store’s Rebate Portal, and you can submit your claim online or via mail. For more information on The Home Depot’s “11” rebate, see below.

The Home Depot 11 Rebate

The Home Depot offers an 11% rebate on full-price purchases at participating stores on specific dates. There is no item limit as long as the items are in stock, and you purchase them in-store. You cannot combine the rebate with any other offers or promotions.[2]

The Home Depot does not announce the dates of the rebate ahead of time, but you can check the list of participating stores to see if your nearest location participates in the program.

How to Submit a The Home Depot Rebate

If your local The Home Depot store participates in the rebate program, all you need to submit a claim is your sales receipt. If you have lost your receipt, the store may be able to reprint it for you, but it cannot process a rebate without the receipt.

The Home Depot rebates are processed through a designated website: The Home Depot 11% Rebate Portal. You can also submit a rebate claim via mail. On the Rebate Portal home page, you will find the current dates for the rebate. Fill out and submit a rebate form online with the ID number on your receipt; or, select and print the rebate form that corresponds with your purchase date, fill it out, and mail it to the following address:

11% Rebate
Promo Code: [listed on rebate form]
PO Box 540059
El Paso, TX 88554-005

Your rebate form must be postmarked or submitted online within 30 days of your purchase date. The Home Depot will not validate any rebate claims made after 30 days, and you cannot submit the rebate form in-store at The Home Depot.[2]

Rebate Processing Time

The Home Depot will mail the rebate to your address in the form of a store gift card. It can take up to 10 weeks for The Home Depot to process your rebate. If you do not receive your gift card within 10 weeks of submission, you can call customer service at (866) 451-1357 for assistance.

Exclusions

The 11% rebate is only valid for full-price items sold in stores. Certain commodity products, value- and bulk-priced merchandise, services (such as freight, delivery, and tool and truck rental fees), labor SKUs, and gift cards are not eligible for the rebate.[2]

The Home Depot vs. Menards Rebate

The Home Depot’s 11% rebate mirrors the 11% rebate program at Menards. Both promotions occur about once per month and last for about one week.

Prices at Menards and The Home Depot are comparable; for example, both Menards and The Home Depot sell ceiling fans starting at about $70 and light fixtures starting at about $13. You’ll save about the same amount at either store when both are offering the rebate.
