Short Answer

Most Hmart locations accept EBT, but you cannot use EBT to pay for online orders. To find out if your nearest location takes EBT and more, see below.

Does Hmart Accept EBT?

You can pay with an EBT card at most Hmart store locations. We confirmed this information with Hmart’s corporate customer service department and by contacting Hmart stores in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Texas, and Virginia. All of the stores we contacted accept EBT.

Keep in mind, EBT regulations and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)-approved retailers can vary by state. You may want to contact your local Hmart before shopping with your EBT card or keep a backup payment option on hand. You can call Hmart Total Care at (877) 427-7386 or use the store locator to find the phone number of your local store.
