GameStop sells Visa gift cards in-store, but not at every location, customer service representatives at various store locations said. Of the stores we called, 50% had Visa gift cards available. Where available, Visa gift cards can be purchased in amounts starting at $25. Some stores may offer variable Visa gift cards, meaning you can choose any amount up to $500. The activation fee for Visa gift cards is about $5.
GameStop does not offer Visa gift cards for purchase on its website, though other third-party gift cards can be found online. Most of the gift cards available on GameStop’s website are for gaming and entertainment downloads. GameStop’s third-party gift card offerings include Google Play, PlayStation, and Xbox. Other gift card options include Applebee’s, iTunes, and Uber.
Where Else to Buy a Visa Gift Card
Visa gift cards can be purchased from other major retailers including Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, and 7-Eleven, as confirmed by customer service representatives at various store locations. Visa’s website offers a card locator tool that can be used to find a Visa gift card retailer in your area. Just select “Gift Cards” from the drop-down menu, enter your city or ZIP code, and click “Search.”
