Short Answer

The Disney Visa Credit Card and Disney Premier Visa Credit Card require credit scores in the Fair to Good range, starting around 650. Below, we detail the credit requirements, approval odds, and application process for Disney credit cards.

Disney Credit Card Credit Score Requirements

Disney offers the Disney Visa Credit Card and Disney Premier Visa Credit Card; both cards are backed by Chase Bank. We contacted both Disney and Chase Bank, and neither was able to provide an exact minimum credit score needed to qualify for the Disney credit cards. However, customers report approvals with scores around 650 and up, meaning they fall within the range of Fair to Good credit, as defined by Chase Bank.

To qualify for either Disney credit card, you must have a permanent home address in the United States or one of its territories. Applicants with a U.S. military address also qualify. If you already have a Chase credit card, you are still able to be approved for the Disney Visa Card or Disney Premier Visa Card, a customer service representative said.

Application Process

You can apply for both Disney credit cards online via a computer or mobile device, but you cannot apply over the phone. You can apply for either card at DisneyRewards.com, DisneyWorld.com, Disneyland.com, or DisneyCruise.com.

When you apply, you will need to provide your gross income, housing costs, and employment history, a customer service representative said. The application requires a hard credit pull, and Chase typically uses Equifax for credit reporting. Your approval odds will vary depending not only on your credit score but your credit profile (including payment history) and employment information.

If you receive immediate approval, your new card will arrive by mail within seven to 10 business days. If you cannot be immediately approved, you will receive an alert stating that Chase needs additional time to process your application. In that case, Chase will notify you of the final decision by mail in about 10 days.

If you are ultimately denied, the letter you receive will indicate the reasons for denial, a customer service representative said. You can re-apply immediately if your application is denied, but keep in mind that each new application requires a hard credit pull, which can negatively affect your credit score.
