Short Answer

Most car dealerships are individually owned and set their own rental policies, but several brands — including Chevrolet, Ford, Kia, Subaru, and Toyota — rent cars at specific locations. Dealerships typically offer daily rental options for $20 to $125, depending on the vehicle class, and weekly rental options range from $100 to $800. Most dealership rentals also require a refundable deposit of $100 to $200. Below, we have the list of dealerships that rent cars across the U.S.

The List of Car Dealerships That Rent Cars

There are many car rental companies to choose from — even some that will pick you up and drop you off (as previously reported). But can you rent a car from your local car dealership? Renting a car from a dealership can be most convenient when you need to drop your car off for service. It can also give you a chance to try out a car for longer than a test drive before you buy it.

Most car dealerships are independently-owned franchises, so each location sets its own policies. But we were able to find dealerships under many car brands that offer rentals. General requirements for car dealership rentals include a valid driver’s license, a refundable deposit ranging from $100 to $200, and full coverage insurance. Some dealerships also have minimum age requirements of 21 or 25.

Below, you’ll find the list of car dealerships that rent cars. Of course, we were unable to check every car dealership in the country, but we’ve included a few specific locations for each car manufacturer.
