Can T.J. Maxx Look up Receipts? Receipt Lookup Policy Detailed

T.J. Maxx cannot look up customer receipts. However, it does offer the option for customers to request an email receipt in addition to the printed receipt at the time of purchase, a corporate customer service representative said. To receive an email receipt, select “Email Receipt” on the PIN pad when making your purchase and enter your email address and phone number.

We spoke with T.J. Maxx locations in California, Idaho, Michigan, South Carolina, and Texas; none of the stores we contacted can look up receipts, but they all have the email receipt option.

Returns and Refunds at T.J. Maxx

T.J. Maxx requires the receipt to process a return for a full refund to your original form of payment. Within 30 days of purchase, you can return items in new condition with a printed or emailed receipt.

If you do not have a receipt, or if it has been longer than 30 days, you will receive your refund as a merchandise credit. You will also need to provide a valid photo ID to complete a non-receipted return.
