Cabela’s store-brand boots are covered under the retailer’s 90-day return policy and can be returned even if they are worn if there is a defect. After 90 days, store-brand boots are covered under Cabela’s Legendary Guarantee, which protects some products against manufacturer defects for the life of the item. This does not include wear and tear from regular use. For the full details of Cabela’s boot warranty, see below.

What Is Cabela’s Boot Warranty?

Cabela’s store-brand products, including Cabela’s boots, are covered under the store’s Legendary Guarantee that protects some products against manufacturer defects, customer service representatives said. We contacted multiple customer service representatives via live chat and by calling Cabela’s customer service department at (800) 237-4444. The representatives said the warranty policy is good for the life of the product but does not cover normal wear and tear.

Normal wear and tear for boots may include broken zippers, stitching coming apart, creases that begin to crack, and scuffs or marks. The typical lifespan of a pair of Cabela’s boots varies greatly based on how often they are worn, in what weather conditions they are worn, and how they are cared for. (Cabela’s used to offer a lifetime guarantee on its products that included normal wear and tear. The policy was discontinued when Cabela’s was bought by Bass Pro Shops in 2017, as we previously reported.)

If you believe your Cabela’s boots are defective and it’s within 90 days of the purchase date, you can return the boots to a Cabela’s store under the 90-day return policy. The original receipt is required for returns; returns on defective items will be allowed even if they are worn. If it has been longer than 90 days, you can bring your defective boots to a Cabela’s store for evaluation. You will need to provide proof of purchase, such as a store receipt. If your boots are determined to have a manufacturing defect, you will either receive a replacement pair or store credit that can be used toward a new pair.

Cabela’s sells multiple kinds of boots, such as hiking boots and hunting boots, from various brands. Only Cabela’s brand boots are eligible for the store’s Legendary Guarantee. (Other store-brand items covered by Cabela’s Legendary Guarantee include waders, as previously reported. For more details, see our article.) Popular boot brands like Ariat, Justin Boots, and Durango, may come with their own manufacturer warranty.

In Summary

And that’s the Cabela’s boot warranty. Cabela’s store-brand boots may be returned within 90 days of purchase if they are defective. After 90 days, Cabela’s brand boots are covered against manufacturer defect under Cabela’s Legendary Guarantee. Defective boots may be returned to any Cabela’s store and may be replaced in stores or you may be given store credit that can be used toward a replacement pair.
