We contacted multiple locations in Alabama, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Idaho and found these fees to be consistent across these states. Still, it is important to note that check cashing rates may vary by state.

The Check ‘n Go locations we contacted quoted the following rates for different types of checks:

  • Personal Checks: 5.99%
  • Payroll Checks: 4% for handwritten payroll checks and 2.25% to 2.5% for computer-printed payroll checks
