Costco does not price match tires or any other merchandise, a corporate customer service representative said. We called Costco Tire Centers in Arizona, Iowa, Michigan, Montana, and Virginia; all of the locations we spoke with abide by this corporate policy. However, if you purchase tires at Costco and then find them at a lower price elsewhere, you may be able to return your Costco tires.

While Costco does not price match tires, it advertises its tire prices at wholesale cost, and it does offer sales throughout the year. Costco tires also come with lifetime maintenance services (included with installation). This covers inflation pressure checks, flat repairs, tire rotation, and tire balancing throughout the life of the tire.

Our previous research features more than 100 retailers that do price match, including some auto and tire shops. For more information on Costco auto services, see our comparison of Costco, Discount Tire, Tire Rack, and more and our research on whether Costco offers oil changes.

Other Ways to Save at Costco

For more ways to save on Costco purchases, the wholesale club offers the Costco Anywhere Visa Card and the Costco Anywhere Visa Business Card, both backed by Citi. These cards come with some rewards and savings benefits, including if you use them to shop at Costco:

  • 4% back on gas (for the first $7,000 per year; 1% thereafter)
  • 3% back on restaurants and travel
  • 2% back on all Costco and Costco.com purchases
  • 1% back on all other purchases

The cards come with no annual fees and also extend the manufacturer’s warranty on certain eligible items.

Costco also participates in a student discount program — see our article to find out if you are eligible for Costco’s student discount.
