Walmart accepts standard and 3D printer returns within 30 days of purchase, a corporate customer service representative said. We contacted Walmart stores in Alabama, Connecticut, Nevada, Virginia, and Wisconsin to confirm this information. Most Walmart items come with a 90-day return window, but electronics are a notable exception; you must return these items within 30 days of purchase or delivery.

To return a printer, you’ll need original packaging, but the box can be opened (as we’ve previously reported). The return policy still applies no matter how much you’ve used the printer. As long as you have the manufacturer’s packaging, you can return the printer within 30 days even if you’ve run it out of ink, a corporate customer service representative said.

If you don’t have the receipt, you should still be able to make the return, but your refund will likely be store credit.^[1] Store associates will scan the packaging as part of the company’s refund verification process for non-receipted returns. If you lost the receipt but paid with a credit card, you may be able to look up your receipt online.

Online Printer Returns

Printers shipped and sold by Walmart.com can be returned in-store or by mail. If you purchased the printer online and want to return it in-store, you can log in to your Walmart.com account to find a copy of the receipt. To mail in the return, you should log into your Walmart.com account, look up the order, print the prepaid return shipping label, and send the printer back within 30 days of delivery.
