The CVS makeup return policy allows customers to bring back new, opened, and used cosmetics. For more information on returning makeup at CVS, see below.

CVS Makeup Return Policy Explained

CVS has a liberal makeup return policy, a corporate customer service representative said. We were told that customers can return makeup in new, opened, or used condition — as long as you have the original receipt and your return is made within 60 days of purchase. Without a receipt, you may be able to exchange the item or receive store credit for the lowest price the item sold for in the last 60 days. We contacted CVS stores in Alaska, Idaho, Michigan, Nebraska, and Vermont to confirm this information. You can also find the CVS return policy detailed online.

Keep in mind, CVS store associates cannot look up a receipt — not even for CVS ExtraCare rewards card members, corporate customer service representatives said. And, all returns and exchanges are subject to a verification process in which you may be asked to provide a valid photo ID. Store managers can also deny a return. Purchases made with a debit or credit card will be refunded to your card, so be sure to bring the card with you when you make a return at a CVS store near you.

Items purchased online can be returned in stores or by mail within 60 days; customers should contact CVS Customer Care at (888) 607-4CVS prior to sending items back by mail.

In Summary

You can return cosmetics to CVS within 60 days of purchase. Items can be in new or used condition, as long as you have the original sales receipt.
