We checked the policies of many stores similar to Walmart, including Big Lots, Publix, Sam’s Club, and Target, and found that they also do not accept traveler’s checks. Alternately, you can cash your traveler’s check if you’d like to use the money at Walmart and other stores. Money service stores like United Check Cashing and some grocery stores, including Food Lion and Giant Eagle, will cash traveler’s checks.
