Store Restocking
Target restocks its stores on a rotating schedule that varies by location. There is no one, universal day of the week on which all Target stores restock.[1] Target does restock its existing product selection regularly, and new product lines roll out on a seasonal basis.[1] For instance, winter clothing like boots, hats, and gloves will hit the shelves near the beginning of fall (usually some time in September).
Individual departments also have specific restocking requirements, so even the time of day when a particular product will restock varies by location and department. The best way to determine when your local Target store will restock is to contact the store directly. It’s best to have a particular product type or department in mind when calling for details; because of the variability of in-store restocking, associates will be most likely to help you if you ask about specific items.[1]

Online Restocking
Just like its brick-and-mortar locations, there’s no particular day of the week when Target restocks its online inventory. Rather, specific back-ordered items will be replenished as quickly as possible, which largely depends on the manufacturer’s current product availability.[1] If you purchase an item on backorder from Target.com, your item will ship as soon as it’s available.[2]
If you see an item you want to order online that’s currently out of stock, you can check in-store availability online and may be able to receive an email or push notification when it’s back in stock for shipping. Look for the “notify me when it’s back” button on the website or simply “notify me” in the app.[3]
