Short Answer

Ralphs accepts EBT for in-store purchases at all locations. Some locations also accept EBT for pickup and delivery. For more information on using EBT at Ralphs, see below.

Does Ralphs Take EBT?

Ralphs accepts EBT for in-store purchases, and some store locations accept it for pickup and delivery purchases. We confirmed this information with customer service representatives for Ralphs, as well as by checking the USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) retailer locator.

EBT-Eligible Purchases

You can use your SNAP benefits to purchase food that you intend to eat at home, including meat, fruit, vegetables, rice, pasta, and packaged snacks. You cannot buy alcohol, medicine, vitamins, or non-food items like cleaning products. See our related research for the full list of EBT-eligible items.

Using EBT at Ralphs

When purchasing food with SNAP benefits, your EBT card will work similarly to a debit or credit card. You can use the regular card reader at either a cashiered register or self-checkout. If your order includes some items that are not EBT-eligible, you can split it between two payment methods by swiping your EBT card first, then using a debit card, credit card, or cash.

At stores that accept EBT for pickup and delivery, you will enter your EBT card information online at the time that you place your order.

If you receive cash assistance benefits in addition to or instead of SNAP, you can get cash back with your EBT card at the register. See our related research for the EBT cash back policy, including eligible programs in each state.

Ralphs will accept EBT cards inside the store, but not if you order online for pick up or delivery. FYI
