Lowe’s home improvement stores don’t offer a discount to senior citizens.[1] However, there are other ways to save at Lowe’s, including both standing discounts and weekly offers. Lowe’s offers discounts for veterans, active-duty military, and those who work in the construction industry. It also has regular sales and rebates for all customers.

Ways to Save at Lowe’s

Some of the most popular savings programs at Lowe’s include:

MyLowe’s

When you sign up for a free MyLowe’s account, you can receive free parcel shipping on online orders. You will also receive information about special store offers via email.[2]

Savings and Clearance

The Lowe’s website regularly lists sale and clearance items. Sale items are usually discounted 10% to 35% off, and they may also be eligible for free shipping. Lowe’s email subscribers will receive information about sale and clearance items, upcoming promotions, and more delivered to their inboxes.

Military Discount

Veterans and active-duty military personnel can get a 10% military discount online and in stores.[3] This discount is available to current and former members of the following:

  • Army
  • Army National Guard
  • Air Force
  • Air National Guard
  • Coast Guard
  • Marine Corps
  • Navy

To receive the military discount, you must create a free MyLowe’s account. Once you have an account, you can fill out a form to register as a member of the military. Lowe’s uses a third-party system to verify your credentials online, so you’ll need to provide documentation showing you are or were in the military. Members of the military who were dishonorably discharged aren’t eligible for the discount.[3]

Alternatively, you can also join the military discount program in person by going to the customer service desk at any Lowe’s store. You will need a photo ID and a form of valid military identification, such as a Common Access Card or Veteran Identification Card.[3] To use your military discount for online purchases, you’ll need to log in to your MyLowe’s account before checkout.

To use your Military Discount in-store, show the cashier your MyLowe’s card or enter the phone number associated with your account. Your spouse and any dependents under the age of 18 can also use your military discount.

Lowe’s For Pros

For contractors and other building professionals, Lowe’s offers discounts and other benefits through the Lowe’s For Pros program. Such benefits include:[4]

  • Bulk ordering: Order supplies, such as lumber or tile, in bulk at a discounted rate.
  • Tax exemptions: Apply to receive a Tax-Exempt Management System ID number, which allows you to purchase certain supplies related to your business without paying tax on them.
  • Daily discounts: Certain items are discounted 10% to 30% every day on the Lowe’s For Pros website.
  • Pro appreciation events: Multiple times a year, Lowe’s For Pros runs sales targeted at construction professionals.

You can also open a Lowe’s business credit card, which offers a 5% discount on all purchases.

Rebate Center

The Lowe’s Rebate Center lists items that come with rebate offers. For some major appliances, you can get a rebate of up to $1,500. The Rebate Center lists the information you need to get a rebate for each eligible item, including the necessary forms. You can track the status of your rebate online to see when it will arrive.

Other Stores With Senior Discounts
