Short Answer

Pizza Hut does accept EBT at select California locations, but not in other states. For more information about using EBT/SNAP benefits at Pizza Hut, see below.

Does Pizza Hut Accept EBT?

Pizza Hut accepts EBT at select California locations through the state’s CalFresh Restaurant Meals Program (RMP). This program allows SNAP recipients who are elderly (60 or older), disabled, or homeless to purchase meals from a particular list of approved restaurants.

The CalFresh RMP is available in the following counties:

  • Alameda
  • Los Angeles
  • Orange
  • Riverside
  • Sacramento
  • San Diego
  • San Francisco
  • San Luis Obispo
  • Santa Clara
  • Santa Cruz

You can find participating Pizza Hut restaurants in your area by contacting your county benefits agency or logging into California’s EBT cardholder portal. At Pizza Hut restaurants that take EBT, eligible SNAP recipients can use an EBT card to buy hot food off the regular menu.

We confirmed this information with several county benefits agencies and Pizza Hut restaurant locations.

Other Places That Accept EBT

Generally, you can only use SNAP benefits to purchase food you will prepare at home. See our research on what you can and can’t buy with your EBT card.

However, California is not the only state with a Restaurant Meals Program. For information about this program in other states, see our complete lists of fast food restaurants that take EBT and pizza places that accept EBT.
