CVS stores typically sell a large selection of gift cards in-store, but third-party gift cards are not available online.

We contacted CVS Pharmacy customer service and visited a CVS store to find out what third-party gift card brands the company typically sells; representatives said that gift card selection varies from one location to the next.

If you have a particular gift card in mind, you can call ahead to your local CVS store to confirm that the gift card is in stock before making the trip. There are no additional fees for gift card purchases, except for prepaid cards, which typically come with a small fee. We list the gift cards commonly sold at CVS below, organized by store category.

If you’re looking for prepaid gift or debit card options, CVS has several, but keep in mind that these types of cards come with additional fees:

CVS ExtraCare Rewards and Members Discounts

CVS has a rewards program that provides participants with many coupons. Each purchase also adds up and becomes either Extra Bucks or Beauty Bucks. You can use Extra Bucks to pay for purchases throughout the store, and Beauty Bucks are valid on beauty-related items.

Occasionally, CVS offers ExtraBucks when members purchase certain gift cards during a specified time frame. If you’re going to buy gift cards or prepaid cards at CVS regularly, it may be worth joining the rewards program to take advantage of this offer when it arises. Additionally, CVS offers discounts for bulk gift card orders in excess of $500 through its corporate partnership program.^[1]

This doesn’t mean that you will not find gift cards for the above retailers at any CVS store; you can call ahead to your local CVS to confirm whether it carries the gift card you desire. You also won’t find any gift cards to CVS competitors like Walgreens or Rite Aid — you’ll have to visit those stores if you’re looking for their gift cards.
